For 2026 we’re releasing this very limited edition run of chest and waist straps in bold colours. RiutBags models from 2018 onwards are compatible with these colourful additions. Check below whether your RiutBag is compatible. The colours are were chosen by RiutBag users in a recent survey.
💪 Why use a chest or waist strap?
These straps clip across your body to help distribute the weight of your backpack more evenly. That means better support for your shoulders, neck, and back—especially when you’re carrying a heavier load.
🎒 Easy On, Easy Off
Chest strap
RiutBag shoulder straps (after 2017) are designed with a built-in gap at the top of the strap piping so you can slide your c-clasp chest strap on and off with ease. RiutBag straps are adjustable, removable, and replaceable - designed to make your RiutBag last longer and your travels more comfortable.
Waist strap
RiutBags (after 2018) have an attachable modular waist strap system. Pull out the inbuilt buckle-half from the lower strap pockets. Attach the new waist strap to each of the buckles, with the Riut sign facing forward at the front. Remove and store when not required. Tuck the buckle back into its pocket when not in use.
